Greve Chamber Music Festival

The Greve Chamber Music Festival is for dedicated middle school, high school, and college-aged music students. The program focuses on performance preparation, cultural enrichment, and immersion in Italian cultural heritage. The festival consists of public concerts, private coaching, and master classes with performing artists from Europe and the United States.
Included in the program are visits to historical cities, sites, museums, and vineyards in Tuscany.
Qualified students will have the opportunity to experience working in a professional opera orchestra.

Giacomo Benedetti – Piano (Artistic Director, chiesa di S. Felicita, Florence)

  • Program is open to all orchestral string instrumental students:
    violins, violas, cellos, and double-basses.
  • Program is an extension of the Greve Opera Academy, a collaborative project of Connecticut Lyric Opera, Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, and the municipality of Greve-in-Chianti in Tuscany, Italy.
  • Audition for this program is required either live or by an unedited video of 15 minutes.
