Nonostante la sua inclinazione per il rock and roll\, sviluppò una passione per la musica classica. A soli 18 anni\, si imbatté nella “Hammerklavier Sonata” di Beethoven\, un’opera che segnò una svolta nella sua vita. Fu allora che capì di voler comporre musica classica.\nSi laureò in musica alla UNC School of the Arts\, poi frequentò la Manhattan School of Music e conseguì un master in composizione musicale alla City University of New York. Tornato in North Carolina\, si stabilì a Wilmington\, dove lavorò come barista mentre scriveva vari pezzi musicali\, tra cui jingle pubblicitari.\nNel 1993 accettò un posto di insegnante al Cape Fear Community College\, dove ancora oggi tiene corsi come Fondamenti di Musica\, Teoria Musicale e Apprezzamento Musicale. Non abbandonò mai la sua passione per la composizione.\nNegli anni ’90\, ricevette premi e riconoscimenti\, tra cui la NC Composer Fellowship. Aziende internazionali lo ingaggiarono per riarrangiare brani per versioni inglesi di anime. Grazie alla tecnologia\, Ferreri ha condiviso le sue composizioni con orchestre e musicisti di tutto il mondo\, da Wilmington fino al Giappone. \nEN: Ernesto Ferreri began his musical career playing guitar in a rock band. Despite his inclination for rock and roll\, he developed a passion for classical music. At just 18 years old\, he stumbled upon Beethoven’s Hammerklavier Sonata\, a work that marked a turning point in his life. It was then that he realized he wanted to compose classical music.\nHe earned a degree in music from the UNC School of the Arts\, then attended the Manhattan School of Music and completed a master’s degree in music composition at the City University of New York. Returning to North Carolina\, he settled in Wilmington\, where he worked as a barista while writing various musical pieces\, including advertising jingles.\nIn 1993\, he accepted a teaching position at Cape Fear Community College\, where he still teaches courses such as Fundamentals of Music\, Music Theory\, and Music Appreciation. He never abandoned his passion for composition.\nDuring the 1990s\, he received awards and recognition\, including the NC Composer Fellowship. International companies hired him to rearrange songs for English versions of anime. Thanks to technology\, Ferreri has shared his compositions with orchestras and musicians worldwide\, from Wilmington all the way to Japan.
